Back in March for my husband’s birthday we celebrated at Stone Brewery in Escondido. We went on a little behind the scenes tour with a few good friends and learned about the brewing process. I admit it took me awhile to warm up to some of Stone’s beers; most are very bitter, hoppy and strong, and that’s how they like ‘em. My favorites remain to be the milder Pale Ale’s and Levitation but I have come to appreciate just about any of the beers they brew. Anyhow here’s a look at the machinery used to brew and bottle Stone’s beers and a shot of the birthday boy with his beer and ice cream float.
